April 18, 2015, Metropolitan Government Archives of Nashville and Davidson County, Nashville, TN as part of the National Council for Public History (NCPH) Annual Meeting.

In this workshop CAW partnered with The Metropolitan Government Archives of Nashville and Davidson County. Created in 1983, the Archives has grown to maintain records from 1780-2008, with the bulk of the collection in the mid to late 19th Century. Workshop participants worked on the Thomas Cage Mayhew collection. Thomas Cage Mayhew (1926-1986) worked in Public Relations for Nashville’s first Metropolitan government under Mayor Beverly Briley (1963-1972) and was a producer for local Channel 5 news. Workshop participants had the opportunity to handle and learn to identify a number of film formats as well as both broadcast and consumer video formats.
