Community Archiving Workshop – A Regional Training of Trainers: Northern California

The west region of the IMLS-funded Regional Training of Trainers project will focus its work on the audiovisual needs of arts and cultural heritage organizations and accidental archives of California, beginning with Northern California —since California is a big state and technical expertise is more available in the Southern California/Los Angeles area. The anchor site for this region is California Revealed, a California State Library initiative that provides free digitization, digital preservation and online access services for archival materials documenting state history. With State Library support, this project potentially could extend beyond the larger Bay Area to Southern California, and support additional workshops in Southern California. California Revealed will serve as liaison to regional partners, building upon its partnership of over 200 libraries, archives, and historical societies across the state.
