Community Archiving Workshop – A Regional Training of Trainers: California

The Community Archiving Workshop Training of Trainers (TOT) – California is the west region of the Regional Training of Trainers Project funded by the Institute of Museum and Library Services. This regional TOT will focus its work on the audiovisual needs of arts and cultural heritage organizations and accidental archives of California. The anchor site California Revealed is a California State Library initiative that provides free digitization, digital preservation and online access services for archival materials documenting state history. With State Library support, this project potentially could extend beyond the current sites to Southern California and support additional workshops there. California Revealed will serve as liaison to regional partners, building upon its partnership of over 200 libraries, archives, and historical societies across the state.

The full curriculum for the CA TOT as well as all of the individual elements can be found in the Curricula area of the website. The CA TOT curriculum was also adapted for use in the Midwest TOT.
